Guard News:                Global Animal Rescue Disaster Notification and Emergency Warning System

There are numerous large national and international animal and environmental organizations that have been contributing their enormous resources to alleviate suffering on our planet. Their work is inestimable and all of us should support them.

There are, however, thousands of local volunteer animal rescue groups that have a difficult time acquiring financing and resources to sustain their selfless work. For many years we have monitored the news to learn about natural or man-made disasters. We would then research and locate small rescue groups in order to donate money to them. We have contributed to animal rescue groups on every continent in the wake of many disasters.

This website is devoted and dedicated to these rescue groups and the animals they save. It offers an opportunity for animal lovers and environmentalists to show their concern and help by making a donation to these organizations that are enduring stressful times.

We hope to direct people to local volunteer animal rescue groups in an area that is experiencing a disaster. Guard news.org is a self-generating entity that does not accept funding or offer any help to anyone who visits it. We are not a nonprofit organization, however, plans are in the works. A posted rescue group may or may not offer assistance in that particular afflicted geographical location. If a group has a website we always contact them by e-mail, but sometimes we do not receive a response. If we do not receive a response we engage in online research. If we read about a particular group that is engaged in actual rescue operations in a valid newspaper article on the web, in social media, or other online reporting we will then make a donation if there are the means to do so (such as Paypal, GoFundMe, etc.), because some groups do not have the facility to respond by e-mail, or even have a website. And sometimes there is sadly no means to send them funds. We will make a notation about my research regarding a group (and sometimes we will not be able to do so), nevertheless, it is your responsibility to contact these groups or verify them online before making a donation to find out if indeed they are helping animals so we assume no responsibility and no financial burden for your decision. There is one exception that we gladly make regarding assistance, as we will post any pleas for help for financing or resources from local volunteer animal rescue groups, whether they are in a disaster area or not. We sometimes do not have the means to check whether these submissions are accurate, but we will try to validate their authenticity. Again, it is your responsibility to contact these groups in order to make an informed decision.

If any local animal rescue group is unaware of a natural disaster in any geographical area we have the capability to inform them where to direct their rescue efforts. Please let us know if you are interested by contacting us.

You are also welcome to use the Emergency resources. Since we are animal lovers and environmentalists an informed person makes us more useful and is a necessity for one who loves animals, especially our own critters. There is also a page devoted to Petitions which have proven to make positive changes for animals and the environment.
